Florida Bird Photography Locations
The following pages provide information on various popular bird photography locations within the state of Florida. The information is provided free of charge to fellow photographers, birders and virtually anyone else who finds it. It however is far from complete, so consider it an endless work in progress. Presently most locations are for the southern portion of Florida (south of I-4).
Each Location has a brief description, basic directions, and the GPS coordinates. Even if you don’t have a GPS you can make use of these numbers by using Google Maps. You can enter the GPS coordinates and get a map of the location and also view a satellite image of the area. This can be extremely helpful in planning a trip or clarifying what you are reading. Please note the GPS coordinates are to put you in the approximate area. Do not use them as a reference to an actual spot to take a photograph.
When using the GPS numbers please make sure your GPS unit is using the WGS 84 datum and the Lat/Lon are formatted in hddd°mm.mmm`
